The Policy Brief emphasizes the importance of biodiversity – across trees, plants, and animals – in making forests more adaptable and resilient. The RESONATE Policy Brief presents findings and guidance on (i) how healthy, diverse forests can better withstand challenges like storms, fires, and droughts; (ii) why and where current and future disturbances are expected to increase biodiversity loss; (iii) how disturbances can enhance biodiversity by leading to more diverse and younger forests.
