BOCAGE FORESTIER

The deployment of broadleaf hedgerows is aiming at improving the resilience of productive stands and restoring the landscapes of the Landes de Gascogne. The forest is facing a number of challenges: The Landes forest is dominated by a monoculture of maritime pines. This homogeneity makes it more vulnerable to attacks by insects and pathogens, the risks of which are increasing as a result of global change.
